Beware thoughts that come in the night

I thought I'd try a limerick for this weeks Carry On Tuesday.
This week we had to use the first sentence from William Least Heat-Moon’s novel Blue Highways: Beware thoughts that come in the night.

Beware thoughts that come in the night
The darkness denies you the light
Of the day bright and clear
To see that which you fear
It hides danger away out of sight

  2. Nice job ... I admire those who can write limericks ... my brain doesn't do summersaults as well!

  3. Nicely done, Andy! So many returning from Iraq and Afghanistan suffer 'night demons.'
