Make It a Reality

This is my entry for the Promising Poets Parking Lot


 If you have a dream
That you wish from your life
Don't keep it locked up
In your mind
Let it out

Free your dream
Let it fly
Watch it swirl in the clouds
Like a bird
Let it fly

Let it soar
Let it roam
Let it blow in the breeze
Let it truly exist
Let your dream leave your mind



When you wake from your dreams
You will hardly believe
With your waking eyes you will see
That with will and belief
Dreams can become real

    "That with will and belief..." True. Dreams don't just fulfill themselves while we sit on our butts. Too many people wring their hands and moan about not getting something they want, when they couldn't be bothered to put in any effort.

    I've come to think of myself as as airy-heady idealist in some ways. This piece reminds me why I believe in dreams and continue to do so. Thank you for this expressing this, for letting it out, Andy. ^_^
